Charlotte
cut her teeth in the Pacific Northwest burlesque scene, where
she has been connected to the resurgence of what is now the burgeoning
burlesque scene of Portland, Oregon. As founding member of Rose
City Shimmy, the performance collective that raised the bar and
awareness of burlesque in the strip club capitol of the united
states, Charlotte soon was garnering national praise.
As
the dance manager and company dancer for Orchestre L'Pow! Charlotte
stayed true to her classic roots, and reveled in bringing together
top notch burlesque stars with the West Coast's premier pit band.
Truly "Bump and Grind for the Sophisticated Set"
Charlotte
is well known for her extravagant props and opulent costuming.
Her most celebrated acts include "L'heure Verte" where
she performs alongside a fifteen foot tall absinthe fountain,
and "East of the Moon" where she truly is the Queen
of a Winter's Eve, with her Burton-esque fireplace and larger
than life polar-bear skin rug.
In
addition to performing, Charlotte is also a costumer, with an
exquisite eye for detail. She has costumed some of the nations
most illustrious Glitteratti, most notably Perle Noire, who wore
a Treuse creation in 2012 when she won "Most Dazzling"
at the elite Burlesque Hall of Fame competition. Charlotte's costumes
have also been seen on Perle during the Dita Von Teese "Strip,
Strip Hooray" tour.
Charlotte
has been seen across the county, performing for critically acclaimed
conventions and festivals, including The Burlesque Hall of Fame,
Tease-O-Rama, Viva Las Vegas, The New Orleans Burlesque Festival,
Ink-N-Iron, Hot August Nights, The Show-Me Burlsque Festival,
The Kansas City Burlesque Festival, and many, many more.
She
has been featured in such publications as The Times-Picayune,
Burlesque Seattle Press, The Burlesque Bible, 21st Century Burlesque,
Rabid, The Gambit, Omega, Just Out and The Mercury.
In 2012 she graced the front cover of Brian C. Janes' highly anticipated
book "It's All That Glitters", and was named by the
UK's Burlesque Bible magazine as one "of the world's brightest
burlesque stars whose careers are set to sparkle over the next
few years"
In 2013 and 2014 both she won the title of Burlesque Princess
at the highly competitive New Orleans International Burlesque
Festival.
Now
she makes her home stage at New Orleans' own House of Blues with
Bustout Burlesque, and is thrilled with all the possibilities
and promises of The Crescent City.
